Braves Sign Star Closer
The Atlanta Braves are staying busy, as they have signed Kenley Jansen to a one-year, $16 million contract.
Jansen had been the star closer of the Los Angeles Dodgers for over a decade, but he will now be taking his talents to Atlanta. With this, the reigning World Series champions have only made their bullpen even stronger.
In 701 career games with the Dodgers, Jansen has a 37-26 record, 2.37 ERA, and 350 total saves. With that, he has appeared in three All-Star games and has been named NL Reliever of the year on two separate occasions.
It will be interesting to see how Jansen performs with his new team from here. The Braves are continuing to make major moves. We will have to keep an eye on what they do next.
