Braves Bring Back NLCS MVP

The Atlanta Braves are bringing back a key piece of their World Series championship run, re-signing outfielder Eddie Rosario to a 2-year, $18M deal.

The deal includes a club option for 2024. Rosario was obtained by the Braves mid-season last year as their outfield was decimated by the season-ending ACL injury to Ronald Acuna Jr. and the off-field problems of Marcel Ozuna.

Rosario quickly established himself as a key part of their push to the playoffs, batting .271 with a .903 OPS in 33 games regular-season games, and then became one of their playoff heroes, winning the NLCS MVP after blasting 3 home runs with 9 RBIs and hitting an astronomical .560 in their 6-game defeat of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

His 11-game hitting streak in the postseason tied for the 3rd longest in Braves history.

The 30-year old has a career average of .275 with a .782 OPS over seven seasons.
