Angels Sign High-Leverage Reliever
The Los Angeles Angels have been making plenty of moves around the periphery since the re-start of business; today they've added a high-leverage reliever for the bullpen, signing 7-year veteran Archie Bradley.
Free-agent reliever Archie Bradley has agreed to a one-year, $3.75M contract with the Angels, source tells @TheAthletic.

It's a one-year deal worth $3.75M. The 29-year-old was drafted as a starting pitcher, but started to make his mark when he switched to the bullpen in 2017. That season, he was extremely effective as a reliever, posting a 1.73 ERA.
He spent the first 5 1/2 years of his career in Arizona with the Diamondbacks, and he served as their closer for a period during the 2019 season, racking up 18 saves.
Overall, Bradley has converted 30 saves as a big leaguer, and compiled a career ERA of 3.89, while striking out an average of one batter per inning (9K/9).
He spent part of 2020 with the Cincinnati Reds, where he pitched out of the same bullpen as his teammate once again with the Angels, closer Raisel Iglesias. He will serve as a set-up man for his former mate.
