Former Longtime Houston Astro Signs In Mexico

He won a World Series with the 2017 Houston Astros, and spent 4 seasons with the team. Now at age 35, after 13 years in the majors, outfielder Josh Reddick has decided to take his talents to Mexico.

Reddick has signed with the Acereros de Monclova, the same team that recently signed Pablo Sandoval

The left-handed hitter compiled a .262 career average in the big leagues, with a .747 OPS, and won one Gold Glove award for his defense in right field, though that was ten years ago, in 2012.

After leaving Houston, where he maintained a .275 average and .757 OPS in his four years there, he spent 2021 with the Arizona Diamondbacks, where his numbers took a big dip, as he batted . 258 with only 2 home runs and a .656 OPS in 54 games.

Aside from Sandoval, he'll also be suiting up in Mexico with another former major leaguer, Keon Broxton, who signed with Monclova last month.
