MLB Rumors: 2 Players From NL East Who Could Be Traded

The offseason moves were happening fast and furious before the lockout took place and now many of the experts across the league are predicting a flurry of transactions once the MLB is back to business. In our latest segment we'll hop around to each division and showcase a couple of players who could be traded next by their ball club.

National League East

Atlanta Braves: Travis d'Arnaud: It all comes down to money and sense for the World Series champs and frankly they have to find a few ways to cut salary. Moving d'Arnaud could have less impact than other positions as the Braves have newly signed Manny Pina who played well last season for the Milwaukee Brewers. Both backstops have power, however Pina cost half the price, making only $4 million in 2022. If Atlanta wants to cut salary, the move on from their veteran catcher.

New York Mets: Jeff McNeil: The Mets utility man hits the trade block after a season to forget in New York which included getting into it with Francisco Lindor. McNeil has the ability to play all over the diamond which is an appealing piece for other teams. In 2021 the 29-year-old hit .251 with seven HR and 35 RBI.  Add in the fact he's only projected to make roughly $3 million in 2022, and he's tradable. McNeil being moved has been a hot topic of late:
