Milwaukee Brewers Invite Former All-Star To Spring Training
David Dahl is getting another chance for an MLB comeback, as the Milwaukee Brewers have invited him to Spring Training. The 27-year-old outfielder signed with the Brewers in August after the Texas Rangers released him. However, he did not participate in a game with the team and stayed in Triple-A.
Brewers the other day made a non-roster invite to spring training official: David Dahl. From some who watched with Sounds, heard only good things. One went as far as saying he definitely could’ve helped in September (not that they needed much with division won but point taken).

Dahl is a player who could be capable of bouncing back. Keep in mind, he was an All-Star as a member of the Colorado Rockies in 2019. During that campaign, he had 15 home runs, 61 RBIs and a .302 batting average. That was a fantastic season from him, so one has to wonder if he could get back to being a major-leaguer again.
Dahl struggled with Texas, though. In 63 games, he had four home runs, 18 RBIs and a very low .210 batting average. With that, he also only hit .183 during the 2020 season with the Rockies, so he has not come close to his previous All-Star form since. Injuries are major factor behind this.
The Brewers lost Avisail Garcia during the offseason, so there is a potential depth spot available for Dahl. We'll have to wait and see if he's able to earn himself a spot with the franchise.
