Cubs' Marcus Stroman Wants Carlos Correa in Chicago

If it was up to Marcus Stroman of the Chicago Cubs, he would tell management and ownership to open up their wallets and give Carlos Correa the money he's looking for. Stroman recently went public with his interest in having Correa join forces at Wrigley Field.

Stroman who is super active on social media, was asked by a fan about a rumor we posted yesterday of Correa heading to the Windy City and Stroman responded:

The Cubs have interest in the superstar shortstop but apparently aren't willing to go to 10 years on the contract. Word has the free-agent has already rejected a massive offer from the Houston Astros and another 10-year $275 million deal from the Detroit Tigers.

Correa is apparently seeking the same deal the Texas Rangers signed Corey Seager for which was a 10-year pact at over $300 million. We'll have to wait and see if the Cubs eventually go there or if Stroman is left waiting and wishing.
