Noah Syndergaard Calls Out Carlos Correa Over Bizarre Comments
Los Angeles Angels right-hander Noah Syndergaard didn't hold back his feelings about free-agent Carlos Correa. The starting pitcher could not figure out why Correa went after baseball great Derek Jeter with some recent comments and opened up about how he can't wait to face Correa in the batter's box.
Syndergaard recently spoke to MLB Network and had this to say about the shortstop as he was asked who he wants to strike out the most:
Carlos Correa. Not just for the obvious reason, but just what he said about Derek Jeter not deserving his Gold Gloves. I think that was a little ridiculous to say.
Correa who is a Platinum Glove recipient from last season recently commented that Jeter should not have won any gold gloves in New York. Certainly comments that caught the entire baseball world including Jeter who had a legendary response:
“I don’t know how my name came up… It doesn’t even warrant a response.”

As for Syndergaard, he signed a one-year deal worth over $20 million as the Angels start to spend on rotation help. Their lineup is not the issue and management is committed to bolstering their rotation so look for them to add another arm or two. Correa vs Syndergaard. The rivalry we didn't know we needed.
