New York Yankees And Los Angeles Angels Strike A Deal
The New York Yankees have traded Tyler Wade to the Los Angeles Angels for either a player to be named later or cash.
It isn't too surprising to see Wade being moved, as the Yankees just designated him for assignment late last week. Therefore, he no longer fit on their roster and now he will have a chance for a fresh start with the Angels. The New York Yankees today announced that they have traded INF/OF Tyler Wade to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Wade was utilized a good amount this season by the Yankees, though. In 103 games, the most he's ever played in a single season, he had zero home runs, five RBIs and a .268 batting average. His speed also makes him a solid pinch running option, as evidenced by his 17 stolen bases in 2021.
Wade looks like a fantastic depth option for the Angels, as he can play second base, shortstop and outfield. This will come in handy when injuries inevitably occur during the year.
In 264 games with the Yankees, he had six home runs, 33 RBIs and a .212 batting average.
