New Details Emerge on Fight Between NY Mets Teammates
The New York Mets had such a bad season, reports are still surfacing about what exactly happened in there. According to reports, Mets' shortstop Francisco Lindor grabbed second baseman Jeff McNeil by the throat at one point during the season.
Reportedly back in May, the two got into an exchange in the tunnel connecting the team's clubhouse to Citi Field's home dugout. At the time they seemingly made a joke about it, saying they were arguing about what type of animal was spotted in the ball park, either a rat or a raccoon. Obviously that wasn't the case.

Word is Lindor was pissed off over McNeil's positioning on the field and instead of working it out with early work or a chat with the defense coach, he decided to take matters into his own hands...literally. Lindor was reportedly always trying to get McNeill to shift to his right or left and the two were seeing arguing on the field during games.
Remember when the Mets traded for Javier Baez from the Chicago Cubs who came in and played second. More specifically, that deal was to move McNeil to the outfield. The Mets currently don't have a president of baseball operations or a general manager. Apparently they also have zero chemistry up the middle.
