Los Angeles Dodgers Sign Andrew Heaney
The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed pitcher Andrew Heaney to a one-year, $8.5 million contract.
Left-hander Andrew Heaney is in agreement with the Los Angeles Dodgers on a one-year, $8.5 million contract, a source familiar with the deal tells ESPN. Dodgers place a bet that Heaney, 30, can take a leap and jump the market after his rough 2021. @Ken_Rosenthal had a deal first.

We recently reported that the Dodgers were in on Heaney, so it's not surprising to see that he now has ended up there.
Heaney will be looking to bounce back from a rough 2021 campaign. In 30 games between the Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees, Heaney had an 8-9 record and 5.83 ERA. Things got particularly worse after he was acquired by the Yankees, though. With New York, he had a 2-2 record and a disastrous 7.32 ERA. He also ended up being moved to the bullpen because of his immense struggles.
Now, Heaney will be looking to bounce back with a deep Dodgers team. Before this season, he have good years with the Angels, so perhaps heading back to a team in California can help him.
Nonetheless, all eyes will be on Heaney as he takes the mound in Dodger blue next season.
