Former MLB Player Nailed World Series Prediction 7 Months in Advance
Those in the media like to make predictions and prognostications about what will happen on the field of play. But maybe we should be relying on the guys who were actually in the trenches, on the field themselves.
Former Minnesota Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe posted on Twitter on March 31st, a full seven months before the World Series, his prediction:
Atlanta Braves over the Houston Astros in 6.

Atlanta Braves in 6 games over the Houston Astros. Bingo.
Here he is celebrating the moment as he watched his pick play out:

Actually, Plouffe was being modest. His 106 career HRs ranks him tied for 872nd all-time, not the 879th he bragged about. No word if the Braves will actually be presenting him with a ring, though.
