Corey Seager Is Joining The Texas Rangers
The Texas Rangers have won the Corey Seager sweepstakes, as they have signed the star shortstop to 10-year, $325 million contract.
The Rangers were expected to be busy this offseason, but man, who would have thought they'd do all of this? Besides Seager, they also signed Marcus Semien to a seven-year, $175 million contract and pitcher Jon Gray to a four-year, $56 million. These three players combined will make a guaranteed $556 million.BREAKING: Star shortstop Corey Seager and the Texas Rangers are in agreement on a 10-year, $325 million deal, sources familiar with the situation tell ESPN.

In 95 games last season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Seager had 16 home runs, 57 RBIs and a .306 batting average. It was another very good campaign from the 27-year-old, but he also had injury trouble.Top 10 $ committed to free agents so far:

Seager is the kind of star that every team would love to have, so Ranger fans should be ecstatic. In 636 games with the Dodgers, he had 104 home runs, 364 RBIs and a .297 batting average. With that, he was named NLCS MVP and World Series MVP in 2020. He also is a two-time All-Star and Silver Slugger Award winner.
The Rangers are looking significantly better now, so it will be interesting to see how the 2022 campaign goes for them. As for the Dodgers, this is a huge loss, but thankfully, they still have Trea Turner to take over Seager's spot.
