Cincinnati Reds Shopping Key Pitcher
The Cincinnati Reds are once again open to the idea of moving starting pitcher Sonny Gray. Gray has been the subject of trade rumors for quite some time now, so one has to wonder if the Reds are finally going to move him this offseason.
In 26 starts this season, Gray sported a 7-9 record and 4.19 ERA. It was a bit of a down year for his standards, but when looking at his two previous campaigns with the Reds, it's apparent that he would bring in a ton of interest around the league. His best season with them was in 2019, however, as he had an 11-8 record and 2.87 ERA.The Reds are said to be open (again) to trading Sonny Gray. But they've indicated to rival execs that Tyler Mahle and Luis Castillo are off limits.

In 223 career games with the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees and Reds, Gray has an 82-72 record, 3.61 ERA and 1,221 strikeouts. With that, he's also a two-time All-Star.
Gray is set to make $10.2 million for the 2022 season, so he's certainly affordable for what he provides. Teams like the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets each could be calling the Reds about him.
