Baltimore Orioles Shopping Top Pitcher
The Baltimore Orioles are reportedly very open to trading pitcher John Means. Given the fact that he isn't eligible for unrestricted free agency until 2025, his value is certainly quite high.
During the 2021 season, Means had a 6-9 record, 3.62 ERA and a career-high 134 strikeouts. Like Buster Olney stated above, he did struggle as the season progressed, though. During the first half of the campaign, he had a very solid 2.28 ERA, but then sported a 4.88 ERA during the second half. However, his dominance during the beginning of the year shows that he can be an elite pitcher when he's at his best.Other teams say the Orioles are dangling left-hander John Means for trade. He's set to make about $3 million in arbitration, coming off a season in which he pitched great in the 1st half (2.28 ERA) struggled in the 2nd half (4.88) and had shoulder issues. https://t.co/rSQSDncyrZ

In 68 career games with the Orioles, he has a 20-24 record, 3.82 ERA and 301 strikeouts. With that, he also was an All-Star during the 2019 season.
It will be intriguing to see how many teams call about the southpaw. Given the fact that he's only 28 years old, he still could get even better from here and joining a winning franchise could help with that.
