AJ Hinch Denies Recruiting Carlos Correa During Lunch Date
The Detroit Tigers have been strongly linked to free agent Carlos Correa for weeks now, largely because of their connection from Tigers manager AJ Hinch's time as manager of the Houston Astros.
But if we are to believe Hinch, their recent brunch wasn't a recruiting mission, but merely an opportunity for Hinch to deliver Correa 'a baby gift.'

Hinch tried to convince anyone who'd listen that his brunch actually was no biggie. "I had a ham-and-cheese omelet, I didn't order lunch, and I didn't realize it was as big of a deal as it was," Hinch explained. "I was delivering a baby gift."
Nothing to do with the fact that Correa is one of the biggest names on the free agent market? And that the Tigers are desperate to nab a big-time talent to put at shortstop? And to make a big splash in the free agent market?
Nah, this lunch was about baby booties and a ham-and-cheese omelet.
Ok, AJ. We got it.
