San Francisco Giants: One team who needs a catcher as Buster Posey surpringsly retired. Kirk hits for contact and could spray it all over the field in San Fran. In only 189 career at bats, Kirk has hit .259 with nine HR and 27 RBI. One name to watch from the Giants could be reliever Zack Littell. The 6'4 right-hander is under team control until 2026, had a great season in 2021 where he went 4-0 with a 2.92 ERA. The Blue Jays are trying to upgrade their bullpen and Littell would be a huge addition.
Cincinatti Reds: The Reds are open for business and are shopping starter Luis Castillo so if the Blue Jays wanted to get in on the right-hander, they could use Kirk and a pitching prospect to construct a deal. The 28-year-old starter went 8-16 last season while striking out 192 in 187.2 innings. The Reds will basically trade anyone off their roster for a price so if the Jays are willing to meet the demands, a deal could easily go down between the team teams.
