3 Potential Landing Spots for SP Zack Greinke
2021 was a huge year for Zack Greinke as the veteran starter had a bounce back season with the Houston Astros. Their season continues as the Astros are currently battling themselves back into the World Series against the Atlanta Braves as we turn our attention to the offseason.
Greinke may have a contract offer coming from the Houston Astros to return, however if he decides to go elsewhere, there's going to be a number of teams interested, including:
Toronto Blue Jays: The Jays love Greinke and are interested in signing a veteran pitcher on a short-term deal. Greinke went 11-6 during the regular season and showed he's able to find a way to get outs, regardless of the velocity on his pitches. If Toronto adds the veteran as their 4th or 5th starter, their rotation will be in very good shape.

Texas Rangers: The Rangers are planning on spending some serious coin on starting pitching, and given Greinke's love for Texas, this could be a fall back option for the veteran should the Astros walk away. He struck out 120 in 171.1 innings in 2021 and would instantly give the Rangers some credibility to their rotation.
Los Angeles Angels: The Angels are the favorites to sign Greinke as they will be heavily interested in the righty. LAA is going for it next season and all their offseason resources will be thrown into their rotation, no pun intended, and they are expected to completely overhaul their starters. While he won't be the answer to all their problems, Greinke is certainly a decent start for Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani and company.
