2 New York Yankees Most Likely to be Traded
The New York Yankees are never shy to make the bold move and while they are expected to spend like crazy this winter. The team is also surveying the trade market and there's several players on their roster who could be used to upgrade their club. Expect to see the Yankees very active this offseason to make changes.
2 Yankees Who Could Be Moved This Offseason
Gary Sanchez: The polarizing catcher is in his last year of team control and considering his relationship with management, this could finally be the offseason Sanchez gets moved. The free agent list is thin so New York could cash in on Sanchez value. Last season he hit .204 with 23 HR and 54 RBI. It was an off year for Sanchez as he's an established .230 career hitter and has career highs of 34 HR and 90 RBI. One team to watch here is the San Francisco Giants, they could see Sanchez as a nice replacement for Buster Posey.
Luke Voit: Remember when Voit complained the team went out and acquired Anthony Rizzo because he was an MVP candidate the previous season and didn't think his playing time should be cut? That basically packed Voit's bags for him as the team will move on this offseason. In 68 games in 2021, the first basemen hit 11 HR and 35 RBI. The Yankees are talking to the Oakland A's, Cincinnati Reds and Miami Marlins regarding deals at the moment so Voit could expect to be headed to one of the three clubs.
