Video: Chicago White Sox Score Run On Wacky Play
After Chicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal hit a grounder to first base, he noticeably ran out of the baseline. As a result of this, Yuli Gurriel's throw to home plate would strike Grandal and make it go wild. Grandal also did not attempt to move out of the way. This would allow Luis Robert to successfully score, but he also took the umpire Tom Hallion down with him. It certainly was a play that you don't see very often. Quite fittingly, it just happened to occur during an important playoff game.
Heading into Game 3 of the AL Division series, the White Sox were on the verge of being swept by the Astros. Yet, they put together a fantastic team effort to avoid that from occurring. Their offense was on fire, as they had 16 hits on the night. Thus, they were able to successfully get by the Astros with a 12-6 win.The ball hits Yasmani Grandal in the shoulder while running to first.

Game 4 between these two teams occurs on Monday, October 11th at 3:37 PM. The Astros will be hoping to regroup and take out the White Sox. If we continue to see entertaining plays like this, though, it should be an extremely fun game to watch.
