This Guy Can Win All-Time Sports Betting Record $35 Million on World Series
If you're betting on the World Series this year, don't sleep on "Mattress Mack". Houston bedding (and betting) tycoon Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale stands to cash in on the largest ever single sports betting payout—$22 million dollars, and $35.6M in total—if his beloved Houston Astros win the World Series.
With the Astros advancing, Mattress Mack’s dream of giving away mattresses to his customers, subsidized by $35.6 million in winning Astros futures remains alive.

His $2M bet at Caesars will become $20M if they win, the largest single payoff in legal gambling history.
In addition to the $22M he'd win from Caesars on his $2M bet, plus another $1.5M in other bets placed elsewhere, his total payout would be $35.6 million.
He kind of needed to make those bets to cover his promise of free mattresses to anyone who spends $3,000 or more at his store, if the Astros win the World Series. He's pegged the cost of that promotion at $20M in free mattresses, so his wagers would still leave him a profit of over $15M.
According to Forbes, this isn't the first time Mattress Mack has laid down big money with a sports book. He won $2.72 million at this year's Super Bowl, with the largest bet placed on the big game.
He wasn't so lucky in 2019, when he put about $15M down on the Astros to win the Series, but they fell short to the Washington Nationals.
