Houston Astros Likely To Lose Key Pitcher For ALCS
There's a good chance that the Houston Astros will be without Lance McCullers Jr. for the American League Championship Series against the Boston Red Sox. The team will evaluate the results of his MRI and take it from there.
McCullers Jr. dealt with forearm tightness in his last start against the Chicago White Sox and only lasted four innings because of it.
If McCullers Jr. is left off of the Astros' roster for the series, it will be a major loss for the club. He is one of their most important pitchers and the Astros are fighting to make the World Series yet again.
In 28 games this season, McCullers Jr. had a 13-5 record and 3.16 ERA. He also pitched quite well so far this postseason, as he's 1-0 and has a 0.84 ERA. If he suddenly feels better, the Astros could still put him on their roster. Houston is certainly hoping it will be the case.
