New York Yankees Option Andrew Heaney
The New York Yankees have optioned pitcher Andrew Heaney to the Florida Complex League.
The Yankees acquired Heaney in July from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for Janson Junk and Elvis Peguero. The Yankees hoped that he would strengthen their rotation, but things just did not work out for him in the Bronx. In 12 games, he sported a 2-2 record and a very high 7.32 ERA. Even when he was moved to their bullpen, he still significantly struggled. In 30 games total this season between the Angels and Yankees, Heaney had an 8-9 record and 5.83 ERA.Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves:

•Optioned LHP Andrew Heaney to the Florida Complex League.
•Reinstated RHP Jonathan Loásiga (#43) from the 10-day injured list.
Over the entirety of his career, he has a 32-38 record and 4.72 ERA. Here's to hoping the 30-year-old can find his previous form and fight his way back to the majors soon.
