Mother and 2-Year-Old Fall to Their Deaths at San Diego Padres Game

A gut-wrenching story has surfaced from California as a mother and her two-year-old son were attending a San Diego Padres game on Saturday and fell from the concourse to their deaths.

According to reports, thousands of fans were in attendance at the game and witnessed the horrific scene:

San Diego police said the woman and the child were near the dining and concession area on the concourse level, estimated to be six stories high, before they fell. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The deaths "appeared suspicious," and homicide detectives have been assigned, police said in a statement. Their names have not been released; both were identified as San Diego residents.

So far the Padres have yet to release a statement and the investigations continue.
