Marwin Gonzalez Is Officially Returning To The Houston Astros
Marwin Gonzalez is officially a member of the Houston Astros again. The team signed him to a minor-league contract at the end of last month. However, he's now once again joining their major-league squad, as they have selected his contract.
Gonzalez spent this season with the Boston Red Sox before being released last month. In 77 games with the team, he had a .202 batting average to go along with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. Things just did not work out for him in Boston, so he's hoping to rebound with his former club.Welcome back, Marwin Gonzalez!🤘#ForTheH pic.twitter.com/ZiXjxYhkde

Gonzalez played for the Astros from 2012 to 2018. His best days a major-leaguer happened there and that was especially the case during the 2017 season. In 134 games, he had 23 home runs, 90 RBIs and a .303 batting average. His contributions certainly helped the Houston Astros during their World Series run.
Here's to hoping Gonzalez can find his old form back in Houston.
