Hurricane Ida Leaves Yankee Stadium & Double-A Field Underwater
Hurricane Ida slammed New York City and surrounding areas on Wednesday, not only wiping out U.S. Open tennis matches, but also leaving Yankee Stadium and its Double-A affiliate field soaked to the core. In the Bronx, the entire outfield is underwater.

It's even worse for the Double-A Somerset Patriots in Bridgewater (yes, that's the name of the town), where TD Bank Ballpark is completely underwater.

The 1st-place team released a statement on Thursday, indicating they are still assessing the damages.

"We are thinking about all our neighbors dealing with flooding of their homes and businesses, and hope everybody is safe."
Remnants from the hurricane left significant damage in the tri-state area, with heavy rains and flooding.
The Yankees are scheduled to host the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night; no word on the stadium's status for that game.
