Zack Greinke Moved To COVID-19 Injured List
The Houston Astros will be without Zack Greinke for a bit. The team has placed him on the COVID-19 injured list. Word has not come out if he has been diagnosed with the illness. However, it is important to note that a player can end up being placed on it if they were exposed to it or are experiencing symptoms of the virus. Taylor Jones also has been placed on it, too.
In 27 games this season, Greinke has an 11-5 record to go along with a 3.66 ERA. It is nice to see that he is still quite effective, even with him being 37 years old at this said juncture. At a minimum, he will be out for at least his next start, as confirmed by Houston manager, Dusty Baker. The Astros announced they have placed RHP Zack Greinke and IF Taylor Jones on the IL due to health and safety protocols...to take their spots on the active roster, the club recalled IF Robel García and RHP Josh James from the Taxi Squad.
