Miami Marlins Lewis Brinson Has Racial Slurs Directed at Him in Colorado

The Colorado Rockies are investigating with the MLB and local police services as a fan used a racial slur directed at Miami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson on Sunday.

The game was taking place at Coors Field and Brinson was shouted at multiple times while at the plate. The Rockies released this statement after the game:

The Colorado Rockies are disgusted at the racial slur by a fan directed at the Marlins' Lewis Brinson during the ninth inning of today's game. Although the subject was not identified prior to the end of the game, the Rockies are still investigating this incident. The Rockies have zero tolerance for any form of racism or discrimination, and any fan using derogatory language of any kind will be ejected and banned from Coors Field.

The fan has zero argument in this case because the slur could be heard on the television broadcast. MLBPA continues to work towards removing racism in baseball, however unfortunately there's still a very long way to go. Lewis Brinson - hold your head high!

While the investigation is still ongoing according to the Colorado Rockies, this report as now surfaced:
