Brett Phillips Has HOW MANY Grand Slams This Season?
The Tampa Bay Rays' Brett Phillips is known more for his affable, fun, 'nice-guy' image, than any on-field exploits. Really, who doesn't love this guy? But when it comes to hitting grand slams, nobody can do it like Phillips this season.
I INTERRUPT MY FIELD OF DREAMS COVERAGE TO TELL YOU THAT BRETT PHILLIPS HAS DONE IT AGAIN. HIS 3rd GRAND SLAM SINCE COMING ON @FlippinBatsPod

Phillips hit his third grand slam in the last two weeks, the most in any full season by a Rays player. The real fun comes when you start to compare him to some of baseball's greats.
Derek Jeter had 11,195 ABs, 3,465 hits and 260 home runs. He hit one grand slam in his career.

#Rays Brett Phillips, who has 19 career homers, just hit his third grand slam in 2 weeks. Gotta love baseball, man.

Brett Phillips grand slams this season: Three
Baseball is weird and dumb and silly and the best
He now has one more slam this year than Aaron Judge has in his entire career, and two more than Hall of Famer Derek Jeter had in 20 seasons.
It was only 4 days ago that Phillips hit a go-ahead grannie for his second HR of the game against the Orioles.
This man is on fire!

Phillips has entertained us all season long, with not only his surprising power display, but also his fake mound charge, fun pitching exploits, and his online hosting abilities.
With the grand slam hat-trick, Phillips is no longer only the "clown prince of baseball."
