Video: Brett Phillips Spreading The Laughs At All-Star Showcase
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Brett Phillips wasn't selected to the American League All-Star Team, but you can't stop him from spreading the love and the laughs at the festivities in his civvies. Watch him hilariously greet Boston Red Sox All-Star Rafael Devers:
"70 RBIs? I want to have that for me in 10 years in my career hopefully." 😂

"70 RBIs (at the break)? I want to have that for me in 10 years in my career!"
Phillips is hosting MLB's Instagram account during the Midsummer Classic, and having a good time doing it.
Next, he greeted his peeps at the ballpark, the mascots:
If only everyone in baseball had as much fun as @Brett_Phillips8 https://t.co/SCTjYtuqxy

More like a real-life mascot, Phillips has become a walking meme this season. In one game last month, he had a little fun with a former teammate by fake-charging the mound after getting hit by a pitch; then earlier this month he had an absolute blast making his major league pitching debut in a blowout loss to the Toronto Blue Jays.
Afterwards, Phillips compared himself to two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani.
He might not ever make an All-Star team himself, but at least we can enjoy his antics outside the ballpark. Good on MLB for bringing him in.
