Trade Complete: Yankees Acquire Pirates Reliever for Minor League Star
The New York Yankees are looking for help all over the diamond, and today made a controversial move to add an arm to their bullpen, acquiring Clay Holmes from the Pittsburgh Pirates for minor league infielder Hoy Park, who is lighting Triple-A on fire.

Holmes, a right-hander, has thrown 42 innings this season and has a 4.93 ERA. He is 28 and is eligible for arbitration for the first time this winter.
Holmes is a 28-year-old right-hander who's thrown 42 innings for the Pirates this season, to the tune of a 4.93 ERA.
And Yankees fans are going to love this: Over his last 7 appearances, Holmes has an ERA of 9.53, and a career ERA of 5.57.
The Pirates get a player in Park who has been one of the minor leagues' top hitters this season, hitting .327 with 10 HR and a 1.042 OPS:
