Trade: A's Acquire Reliever from Diamondbacks

 

It's July, which means MLB trade season. Things are slowly ramping up, as the minor deals typically come first. Today, the Oakland A's added to their bullpen depth by acquiring reliever Sam Moll from the Arizona Diamondbacks for cash considerations.

Moll is a left-hander, and it's his second stint in the Athletics organization. The 29-year-old pitched in 11 games for Oakland in 2017. 

He wasn't on the DBacks 40-man roster, so he'll start in the minors this time around for Oakland. Much of his career has been in the minors; he has a 4.42 ERA in 152 2/3 innings in Triple A over the past five year.
