Surprise Contender for Trevor Story at Trade Deadline
The Colorado Rockies are fully expected to trade all-star shortstop Trevor Story by the end of the month, but all the trade speculation has centered around teams like the Oakland A's and the Milwaukee Brewers. According to MLB insider Bob Nightengale, a new contender has entered the fray, in the Chicago White Sox.

This is a big surprise, as Nightengale points out, since the White Sox already have an all-star shortstop in Tim Anderson. But they do have a huge hole at second base, where Nick Madrigal has been lost for the season.
The ChiSox big interest in Story would be to have him play second base, which he'd only have to do for the rest of the season, as he becomes a free agent at season's end.
Other targets for second base for Chicago have been Eduardo Escobar of the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Pittsburgh Pirates' Adam Frazier.
The White Sox would love to plus at least one offensive hole, as they're also getting by currently without a couple of other key members of the lineup, outfielders Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert.
