LA Angels Use All Twenty Draft Picks on Pitchers
The Angels picked Miami University RH Sam Bachman with their first pick, 9th overall. They continued to select only pitchers through the rest of each round, using nineteen of twenty on college pitchers. Only high school selection was 12th-round pick Mason Albright, from the IMG Academy in Florida.See if you can spot the theme of the 2021 Angels Draft class: pic.twitter.com/p3onpXQTE5

Angels Director of Scouting Mike Swanson provided some insight to the Angels' draft strategy:
Today was really targeting pitching. It's obvious. We took 20 pitchers. That was a strong focus for us today. There were so many valuable pitchers to bring into the organization, so just go all out and play the hot hand.
Needless to say, there were some pretty solid reactions from the Twitter.
LA Angels really just drafted all 20 pitchers in the draft.
