The Blue Jays have been away from home for nearly two years, as they've been playing their "home" games away from home in Dunedin, Florida and Buffalo, NY all season, after spending the shortened 2020 season also in Buffalo.
The exemptions allow for vaccinated players and team staff to enter the country with only proof of a negative Covid-19 test, and then undergo a weekly test. But they are free to move about the city.
Non- or partially-vaccinated players and team personnel will be subject to a modified quarantine order upon entering: They will be limited to their place of residence, or the Rogers Centre for the games only. They will not be able to circulate about the city at large.
The Blue Jays begin a 10-game homestand on July 30th, and will be playing before their home fans for the first time since September of 2019.
No place like home.
