Hotel Maid Foils Potential Shooting Massacre at the All-Star Game
It's not exactly something you expect to hear about at a baseball All-Star Game: A maid at a hotel near Coors Field in Denver has discovered 16 weapons and 1,000 rounds of ammunition stashed in a hotel room. Police fear it could have been a "Las Vegas-type massacre" at the All-Star Game.
Just days before the MLB All-Star Game in Denver, four people were arrested on gun charges Friday night at the Maven Hotel near Coors Field, after police found more than a dozen weapons and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition. https://t.co/3GO7sfVOIi

The shocking finding at the Maven Hotel allowed the maid to tip off police, who have now arrested four people in connection with the bizarre plot.
The hotel room in which the guns were found was on the 8th floor, and overlooked the downtown area, within two blocks of Coors Field.
According to the Denver Post, one of the suspects who was arrested is recently divorced, and had posted a FaceBook message saying he was going to “go out in a big way.” Yikes.
Thanks to the hero housekeeper, a tragedy reminiscent of the Las Vegas music festival massacre has been avoided.
