Giants Targeting 3 Big-Name Outfielders at Trade Deadline
The rumblings around the San Francisco Giants continue, as they look for ways to fortify their slim hold on 1st place in the NL West. And while they are looking to add a starter and a reliever, they've got a trio of big-name targets for the outfield.

Former MLB general manager and current MLB Network analyst Jim Bowden told a San Francisco radio show that he's heard the Giants are chasing one or more of Joey Gallo, Starling Marte and Mitch Haniger to fortify their outfield.
Other than Yastrzemski (Mike), there aren't too many household names in the Giants' current outfield, as they make the most of names like Duggar, Dickerson, Wade, Slater and others. But adding a big name like one of the aforementioned could really vault their offense to another level.
Bowden went on to suggest though, that the Giants should target a starting pitcher before an outfielder, and he predicted Zach Davies of the Chicago Cubs as a prime target for Giants GM Farhan Zaidi.
The Giants lead the Los Angeles Dodgers by three games in the NL West, and you just know that the Dodgers are not going to stand pat, meaning the Giants are compelled to make a move of some kind before the deadline.
