Chicago White Sox Sign All-Star Pitcher To Extension
The Chicago White Sox and Lance Lynn have agreed on a two-year, $38 million extension. Lynn was set to become an unrestricted free agent this off-season.
Lynn is having an absolutely fantastic season for the White Sox, so it makes sense that they wanted to extend him. In 17 games, the 34-year-old has a 9-3 record and an outstanding 1.94 ERA. His success on the mound this season rightfully resulted in him being an All-Star, too.Staying right where he belongs. pic.twitter.com/bqhojcVsKk

The White Sox originally acquired Lynn in a trade last winter from the Texas Rangers. It is clear that the change of scenery has been serving him well, as he is among the top pitchers in all of baseball right now. Now, the White Sox will be able to have in their rotation for more than just this season. That is something White Sox fans should be ecstatic about.
The White Sox are becoming one of the best teams in baseball, so signing Lynn for the next few years should help them immensely come postseason time. Perhaps they can win even win a World Series by the time his extension is over. You never truly know.
