Atlanta Braves Still Buying: Acquire Two Key Pieces
The Atlanta Braves are one game under .500, but they're just 4 games back of the New York Mets in the National League East, and they're "all in" for a playoff run, bringing in two more reinforcements for their beleaguered outfield. The Braves have traded for Adam Duvall from the Miami Marlins and Eddie Rosario from the Cleveland Indians.
Braves making it clear they're not conceding the NL East race, adding Adam Duvall and Eddie Rosario today. Add in Joc Pederson and Atlanta is trying to replace the production lost from Ronald Acuña Jr.'s injury.

Duvall is providing a ton of power this season (22 HR, 68 RBI) but has struggled with his average, hitting just .229. The Braves send minor league catcher Alex Jackson to the Marlins in return.
Rosario is being considered a Cleveland salary dump by many MLB insiders.
Yeesh. Cleveland basically just salary dumped Eddie Rosario for nothing in return. And couldn't even dump his entire salary. https://t.co/UBhZkUijiT

The 29-year-old Rosario is having a down year, with only 7 HR and a .685 OPS. He's on the IL until sometime in August with an abdominal strain. The Braves send the little-used Pablo Sandoval to Cleveland in return (i.e. as noted: it was just a salary dump).
The Braves have scrambled to re-make their outfield after the terrible loss of Ronald Acuna Jr. to a torn ACL. Earlier in the season, Marcell Ozuna was lost to administrative leave over a domestic violence incident.
In addition to Duvall and Rosario, they acquired Joc Pederson in another deal earlier this month.
