Video: Mets' Jacob deGrom Goes Down With Arm Injury
The best pitcher in the world gave us all a scare on as New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom left Friday's game against the San Diego Padres due to right flexor tendonitis.
The crazy part is he was dealing, throwing 80 pitches over six shutout innings with 10 punch-outs. While his arm may have been bothering him, he only allowed one hit and was able to lower his league leading ERA to 0.56. Is that good!?
deGrom spoke after the game and calmed the nerves of Mets fans all over the world:
I'm not too concerned about it. I've had a couple elbow issues before, and I know what that feels like. So my level of concern is not too high
The club announced at this point it looks like he could make his next start, and are hopeful this won't be a lingering issue moving forward through the summer.
