Video: Blue Jays Stripling 'Completely Embarrassed' For Calling Out Teammate on the Field
It was a frustrating night for Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Ross Stripling and at times he let his frustration get the best of him. After third baseman Joe Panik made a throwing error to first base on a slow roller from New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton, Stripling was seen yelling at Panik, waving his arms in the arm.
The Blue Jays were up at the time 2-1, and luckily was able to get out of the inning without any damage. Unfortunately for Stripling would give up the game-winning two-run dinger in the following inning.
Stripling said he apologized twice to Panik and once to all his teammates. Here's what he was so upset about and his apology after;
Agreed. Completely embarrassed about it. Apologized to Joe individually and the team. Will never happen again
