This Guy Is Even Hotter Than Ohtani! Is That Even Possible?

Kyle Schwarber has been destroying baseballs at a pace even Shohei Ohtani and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. would admire. The Washington Nationals slugger has blasted an all-time record-tying 12 home runs in a 10-game stretch, and 16 HR in 18 games! He is simply blowing up MLB Twitter.

His 10-game stretch puts him at the top of a list, tied with Albert Belle (1995) for the most HR ever in a 10-game run. Ahead of names like Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Frank Howard, all of whom could only muster a mere 11 home runs in any 10-game stretch.

Check out this list of incredible numbers in Schwarber's month of June:

  • 12 HR in 10-game stretch, tied for most all-time (Albert Belle)
  • 16 HR in 18-game stretch, tied for most all-time (Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa)
  • 16 HR in June, 2nd-most ever in the month (Sosa has record with 20)
  • 7 Leadoff HR in June, tied for most 1st inning HR in a single month (Carl Yastrzemski, Alfonso Soriano)

And given all that, it's a natural that Schwarber would be taking part in the Home Run Derby at Coors Field in a couple of weeks, right? Not so much. Schwarber says he probably will NOT participate.

There's still time to convince him. Anyone want to start a crowdfunding campaign?
