"It just felt not right": Rays' Ace Tyler Glasnow Suffers Partial UCL Tear
Tyler Glasnow has been a leading contender for the Cy Young Award this season, helping lead the Tampa Bay Rays to the best record in baseball. Now Rays' fans are devastated after Glasnow was diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in his elbow.
Tyler Glasnow out after just 53 pitches. @SteveStone noticed him shaking things out after a 1-1 pitch to Andrew Vaughn. Goes without saying, but gosh do I/we all hope he's OK. (🎥: NBCS Chicago) pic.twitter.com/DmXvGKe0Ks

He could be seen shaking out his pitching arm on the mound, then was pulled after just 53 pitches. After the game, Glasnow said something just felt "not right":

After experiencing some tightness in his right elbow, Tyler said that rather than push it and try to go back out for another inning he thought the safest thing to do was come out.#MLB #RaysUp pic.twitter.com/pHdT5CWLbW
For now, they're going to try rehab, to see if he can avoid going under the knife.
Glasnow has been dominant this season, with a 2.66 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 123 strikeouts in 88 innings.
