Houston Astros Dealt Horrible Injury News
The Houston Astros will have to carry on for the foreseeable future without star third baseman Alex Bregman who suffered a quad strain that appears to be very serious.
There's been no set timetable for Bregman's return, but as his manager Dusty Baker confirmed - "it's going to be awhile". Houston placed Bregman on the 10-day injured list as the injury occurred as he was running the bases.
It's brutal timing for Bregman and the team as he was starting to heat up at the plate. On the season he's slashing .275/.359/.428 with seven HR and 34 RBI.
If you Bregman on your fantasy team and you're looking for a replacement, you might want to pick up infielder Abraham Toro who will be taking over for Bregman at the hot corner. He's lit it up at triple-A this season and was due a callup. Injury equals opportunity and now Toro has his.
